Teaching
I had to teach a stats class this Tuesday as per the requirement for graduate students in the class. I chose to teach the class on field studies as this is what I am interested in and have some experience in. I think the class went pretty well as I had good feedback at the end. Thanks to the class for being good participators and humouring me even when if they thought the questions were not important. It is much easier to teach when the students appear somewhat enthusiastic.

i thought your class went really well. you were obviously well prepared and you did an excellent job coordinating the discussion. i especially liked your use of the 'visual aids' at the end. (the photo of your friend's experiment post-katrina was gut-wrenching).
and you're absolutely right about students -- their attitude and engagement will make or break a class. y'all are top-notch.
Hey Theryn - great job, I thought the class went really well. I agree with Mike - I really liked the critique of the real experiment at the end. What a shame that he didn't get his final readings before the storm!
Cheers,
Nicole
