Take-home test

I found the take home test to be quite time consuming but it was similar to many take home tests I have taken. When you have the book in front of you, you tend to question your response more. If it seems easy you think that you are doing it wrong because the professor wouldn't ask you an easy question if you have the book, right? However, I thought it was a fair test and didn't throw any huge curve balls.

I agree, normally with in-class exams you are not assessed on the quality of your response just on whether you included the right words or phrases. When you have one week and a book of answers you really have to think about how much time you allocate to your answers and how your formulate your response. Overall, though I found it was a good review of the material, although it definately took longer than a couple of evenings, maybe I allocated to much time?? It was good though to spend some time actually analyzing a data set.

i'll try to make the next ones less time-consuming. it is hard, though, to come up with questions that don't simply require paraphrasing but which engage you in synthesizing the information at your disposal.
